About

We will work together to address your problem.

Picture it… sitting on a big comfy couch touching bright blue and gold mermaid pillows that are sensory soothing, lighting created for relaxation and comfort, and positioned across from someone who has, in most cases, experienced some or all of what you are about to express or has at least an idea of ways to guide you.

My clients tell me that they love the many ways that we approach a problem together to create strategy and solutions.

As I take out a piece of paper to create a visual for my client (oh no, she is drawing again!!!!), many of them report a clearer understanding of what they can do to approach things differently, even though I am not good at drawing – and quite frankly my hand writing sucks.

We approach the problem together, laughing, crying, and storytelling.

I love learning and growing with each-and-every interaction that I have with the people who employ me as their therapist.

My experience is both practical and professional.

My learning did not simply come from a book. Rather, it comes from years of life experience, being a mom, a wife, an ex-wife, a friend, a sister, and a daughter.

Mostly, however, my learning comes from the amazing people with whom I work. My clients have taught me so much about ways to help others that I am always truly grateful and feel very blessed to do what I do.

My passion is helping people grow and learn about who they can be, as healthy as they can be.

Two approaches are used in my work with clients. Talk therapy is a great way to learn about yourself and grow what you know in a different way. Horse therapy is another approach in experiencing the growth to change things as they occur.

About Me

I was educated in California at the California School for Professional Psychologists/Alliant International University in San Diego. My Ph.D. degree is in Psychology. For the past 10 years, I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

More importantly, I am a mother of two beautiful, kind, and amazing young men. While raising my children, I went back to school in order to become a mom they would be proud of and not repeat patterns of my past.

I was led to study Psychology and had a passion for learning about the ways that my brain worked in order to do my own healing from childhood. I spent a lot of time doing insight work and would never ask my clients to do anything that I did not actually do myself.
